bolg post #3 problems with working teenagers

Almost every teenagers think that they are all grown up and want be independent. so some teenager go to work to make money themselves . By doing that they feel confident but parents should be careful when they want to work .In many cases they can get into big troubles because they are still unstable and young to decide which is good for them or not.
Unluckily there are immoral companies that tired to use these teenagers for their profit. They forced teenagers to work hard with minimum wages and threat them to fire. But there are more important things than money that we should
consider. According to the national research council and the institute of medicine, "when teenagers work more than 20 hours a week, the work often leads to lower grades, higher alcohol use and too little time with their parents and family." i think these things can influence more harmful for them. Low grade can make them to lose interest of study, using high alcohol may bring addition of alcohol and no time with family member can damage their relationship.

however in 1992, regulations was made to reduce the number of hours that teenagers could work and the kind of job they could perform in Washington state. The director of state labor department said, "we had to decided when it gets in the way of our responsibility to society and to teenagers to make sure they're getting the best education they can."

As a teenager's parents,I appreciate that there is a state organization that is concerning about teenagers even though my children don't work. I wish that the fast food companies that are hiring many teenagers also support for them with better plans.
