BP#6 Meatrix

This movie shows us how the condition of the factory farms is and how they make meat.It surprised me very much.It was more worse than i expected.Thinking of our health,it should be stopped and changed.
To make more profit with the least expense, the factory farmers raise many livestock in a small and dirty sheds. This caused not only animals to get diseases and germs but also polluted water and environment. In addition, they fed animals with artificial growth hormones to protect virus and bacteria, even they mixed dead animal's blood in calves' milk.
There is one more thing they are doing wrong in the packaging plant. To reduce expense they make machine move fast. so, workers can get hurt by machines. all of them are threatening us. if we eat these meat we can get same disease and it's going to be difficult to be cured from diseases.
i think most of the people who watched this film want to change factory farms to family farms, raise animals with humane way and in clean condition. To protect ourselves we should behave more active. buying organic products, educating customers and making them issues publicly,by doing these we can protect ourselves and our children.

bolg post #3 problems with working teenagers

Almost every teenagers think that they are all grown up and want be independent. so some teenager go to work to make money themselves . By doing that they feel confident but parents should be careful when they want to work .In many cases they can get into big troubles because they are still unstable and young to decide which is good for them or not.
Unluckily there are immoral companies that tired to use these teenagers for their profit. They forced teenagers to work hard with minimum wages and threat them to fire. But there are more important things than money that we should
consider. According to the national research council and the institute of medicine, "when teenagers work more than 20 hours a week, the work often leads to lower grades, higher alcohol use and too little time with their parents and family." i think these things can influence more harmful for them. Low grade can make them to lose interest of study, using high alcohol may bring addition of alcohol and no time with family member can damage their relationship.

however in 1992, regulations was made to reduce the number of hours that teenagers could work and the kind of job they could perform in Washington state. The director of state labor department said, "we had to decided when it gets in the way of our responsibility to society and to teenagers to make sure they're getting the best education they can."

As a teenager's parents,I appreciate that there is a state organization that is concerning about teenagers even though my children don't work. I wish that the fast food companies that are hiring many teenagers also support for them with better plans.

Symbol of Amercia

Statue of Liberty (Liberty Enlightening the World, French: La Liberté éclairant le monde) is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York Harbor, designed by Frédéric Bartholdi and dedicated on October 28, 1886. The statue, a gift to the United States from the people of France, is of a robed female figure representing Libertas, the Roman goddess of freedom, who bears a torch and a tabula ansata (a tablet evoking the law) upon which is inscribed the date of the American Declaration of Independence. A broken chain lies at her feet. The statue has become an iconic symbol of freedom and of the United States.

When i was young, I saw  many pictures of the statue liberty in a magazine. I was taught that America is a country of freedom. So, whenever I think America, I pictured  the best paradise in the world.

Even in the New York, we can find many pictures of statute  of liberty in the travel guide books
When i work in Manhattan  many tourists asked me where the statue of  liberty is. It's been 10 years since I moved U.S.A.but many tourist from every country still count the statue of liberty  as a best place to visit. I'd like to say the statue of liberty is symbol of  America.
